HOW IT WORKS: 

Rainwater is intercepted in the downspout by the Clean Rain Ultra Downspout Diverter, which removes leaves, screens dirt and debris from the water and allows the first 10 to 15 gallons of rain to flush the roof clean. As the first flush passes through, a stack of washers swells, tripping a valve and diverting clean water to the reservoir for future use.
