Pond-Free 102 Chapter 6
Determining Water Matrix Block Layout
Next decide how you want to orient the matrix blocks. This will depend mainly on the layout of your Pond-free Feature. Depending on the space you want to fill, you could align the Eco-Blox in a wide, shallow reservoir with the 3 Eco-Blox side by side, to create a reservoir 27.5” x 48” x 17.5” deep, or long and narrow, end-to-end 82.5” x 16” x 17.5” deep, but don’t forget the space for the Pump Vault! (Diagrams) If for any reason you have to keep the footprint (surface area) of the reservoir very small, you might want to set the same 3 blocks on top of each other three deep (27.5” x 16” x 52.5” deep), plus room for the Vault. A corner installation might benefit from an “L” shaped reservoir with 2 blocks on one side of the Pump Vault, one on the other, about 60” long on each leg by 16” wide in a single layer 17.5” deep.
